Shoei RF 1000 full face for me. I read somewhere that you were 24% less likely to get it by a car with a white helmet; I have no idea if that is true but have used white since I heard that.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have the same helmet in Metalic Silver and love the peripheral vision to keep track of bad guys.HJC have always fit me well. This is what I'm wearing now. So far I really like it.

I also have a Yellow G-Max (3/4) for hot days.

Same helmet in gloss black and matte black. Looking to go full face white to match the :f_spider:.

The majority seem to recommend full face--especially for safety reasons. I have become a Nolan helmet fan and use those. Nolans seem to fit me the best and I like the fact that I can swing the front open when I am getting gas or answering questions about the Spyder. I have both the n-com 103 full face and the N-43 modular helmet. I ocassionally like to ride without the full face feature--so that is when I use the N-43. Have never installed the chin bar on that one. Helmets are a personal item and everyone is going to have an opinion on them.

I like to accessorize my bikes with my jackets and helmets so I have a variety of helmets - 2 Shoei, 2 Arai, Scorpion, Fulmer, X1R. The only thing they have is common is they are all full face and wired for sound for XM, GPS and to talk with my husband on his bikes. Luckily I have a head that doesn't seem to prefer one shape of helmet over another - just an XS.

Past helmets: Nolan modular. Nice helmet but noisy.
Present: Scorpion 700 and 1000. I like the sunshade in the 1000, but it's hard to get my glasses on.
Future: Just wishful thinking, but I tried a Schuberth at the BMW dealer. Very, very comfortable and certainly the quietest helmet I have put on. "Only" $700!

I cannot do the full face. It blocks my peripheral vision and is way too heavy. I am an ex-Harley rider and have both a novelty helmet and a 1/2 helmet. Both have the capability of attaching a face guard which I use in rain and in the cold.

My wife and I just purchased two Shoei Multitec modular helmets. Mine is the second helmet I've owned that I could wear all day long without any discomfort. The other is a Shoei 3/4 helmet. I know the modular is not as safe as a true full face helmet but it does provide the same protection from bugs, rocks, dirt and other road debris that a true full face does.
Arai may build the best helmet in the world but I just can't find one that fits my head and I've had the assistance of Arai's Bruce Porter, undoubtedly the most knowledgable helmet person in the U.S., if not the entire universe. I guess I just have a Shoei head.
I don't find that full face helmets limit my peripheral vision at all.

Obviously, you haven't talked to BajaRon. In my opinion, he's the best.:thumbup: Baja fixed my Arai so that it fits perfectly.

No doubt BajaRon is good when it comes to Arai helmets. I know that he knows a lot about them but I'd bet that he would agree that Bruce Porter is "THE MAN" when it comes to helmets. Maybe Ron could fix an Arai so that it would fit me but both of my Shoei's fit right out of the box. Still not taking anything away from Arai, they build a super helmet.
