• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Highway Pegs Mounted up high.

I have a 2012 RT with highway pegs mounted on Lamont's NBV brackets. This works out very nicely.

In addition I would like to mount some pegs about the height of the chrome "Can Am" on the side panels. This would allow me to stretch out my legs, sort of "in front of me" on long rydes.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have an idea how to proceed with such a thing? Is this a stupide idea?

How far forward would you want them? It's something I would like to think about or work on. Accessibility to the frame for solid support would be the big challenge.

I was just out looking at it. I think I would have to drill a hole about where the front of chrome Can Am emblem is. I need to wait until daylight to see if there is any frame in that area, or how far away fro a solid support it would be.

I talked to a guy I know who is a mechanical engineer. I took the Spyder over to show him. We took off the Tupperware. He said that my idea was REALLY REALLY BAD. Oh well!

Try this for inexpensive highway pegs

I have 3000 miles on since this highway peg set-up and really like it.

I am glad it is working for you, but knowing that those panels are only held on by gromets I would be too worried about pulling off the panel to try it.

Really cool.
I have questions:
1). How did you do it?
2) Do you ever put your feet on them?
3) Are they attached to anything under the panel?
4) I assume you used bolt covers, where did you find them?
