I'm home from Spyder Fest Thread

I think we have two other groups out there floating yet, well one group and the other is a SOLO rider,, lets not forget about YAZZ... I know she had planned a two day ride back, possibly three and traveling to Houston TX area, so YAZZ and the FL Crew safe travels..

Didn't know she was a mechanic. Hope she has a good trip back to Texas. Weather didn't look real good there when she left. Not sure what it looks like today.

I made it back about 630am monday morning, broke off my front sprocket bolt seared off on the road and the front sprocket and after a nice local wrench tried to get the rest of the bolt out with no luck. So Aaron from BRP was awsome enough to help me trailer my broken spyder up to de moines and then gave me ride up to my ride to dirt town. I can't say thanks enough to Aaron and brp for the help with this. Jim is the man and helped me out as well. Thanks again for all the help from cowtown and everyone I met down there, was a great time.

Sorry to hear that you broke a bolt. Amazing that it didn't do some damage when it came apart.

yeah I was lucky it didn't cut the main oil line, I really thought I snapped the belt but I looked down once I stopped and the front sprocket was sitting there and I looked back and saw the bolt, thinking it just worked loose I just laughted but then when Jim got back it and it was half missing it was a real bummer. But I got back it and will all come together, I got to work the next three weeks so if anyone wants to "test" my spyder up here that would be great, maybe some couple that wants to ride back together, I got a place to stay and after the 35w death right north its some great roads. about 7.5 hours one way. My spyder is at Hickmans in Des Moines IA right now.
