But quads aren't street legal, and even the police can count wheels :joke:
Anyway, just strikes me as a waste of good aftermarket effort just to look pretty at bike shows :dontknow:
Yes took home every bike trothy and my freinds took tha all sounds competitionLooks more like a 'Rims and Bass' contest to me....
So did you enter and win anything?
Dont no about u but my bike is street legal i drive on highways and all if u do your home work u would see i will post a video with me on the bike on highways just for uYa know, I've seen the 4-wheel Spyder conversions before, and while very neat, here's what I don't get: why?
You can't legally ride it on the street. Oh, I'm sure it's *ridden* on the street-- it was here, obviously-- but any and every cop can stop and ticket you for it, and realistically, simply impound the vehicle.
It's one thing to try and sneak by with some illegal aftermarket exhaust, or lighting mods, or something else that the police might not notice, or charitably ignore at a traffic stop.

Four wheelers in most states are illegal to run on the road. But it's my understanding that if you convert a street legal vehicle like a Spyder to have four wheels then it is legal.Ya know, I've seen the 4-wheel Spyder conversions before, and while very neat, here's what I don't get: why?

I'm glad you can do so. I do know that some states make exceptions for four wheeled vehicles that include car- and bike-like safety mechanisms (headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, and a horn)-- and Arizona allows regular quads on the road, with restrictions-- but I had no idea that Pennsylvania did. A buddy of mine in PA added all that and more to his Can-Am Commander and the DMV *still* refused to certify it as street legal... and he'd get stopped most every time he took it out even on rural roads (well, it wasn't like he was going to SELL the thing :roflblack.
Like mxz600 wrote, I wonder if it's taking an already street-legal vehicle and modifying it that creates the loophole? :dontknow:
Or did anyone else get bit queezy from watching this... with the wild camera motion??? I need a Dramamine!!
