• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is the BUDS/BUDS2 license Transferable?

Does anybody know if buds/buds 2 license is transferable? I’m thinking about buying an inoperable 2012 Spyder. The fella bought the Powersports package and is going to throw it into the deal.

Yes, there is a process to transfer the MPI-3 interface and an attached license. The license is first associated to an interface, then ownership of the device. I've done it twice, once buying and once selling. As Jetfixer stated, you'll need to work with them (Powersports-diag.com) to make the transfer, which needs to be initiated by the seller.

A license without the attached MPI-3 will not function. You cannot use it with another MPI-3 without transfer. You must have a suitable Windows Computer with a USB A port to run the software. I had mine running on an M3-chipped MacBookPro, but it took some finesse and expense, to get it running. (It's written up elsewhere in the BUDS forum.) Even then, it had some display issues with text formatting and display feature overlap.
