Dropped off the wife's Impala this morning for service. The president/owner of the dealership, whom we know well, was in the service department when we walked in. He asked how we were doing and if we had been riding lately. During the conversation he asked how retirement was. I told him about working around the house, riding when we can, and working on small engines, my neighbors backhoe and forklift etc. He says, "well, if you want to work on cars and trucks I have an opening for you". I chuckled and said "yeah, right". To which he responded, "I'm not joking". After 45 years of turning wrenches I don't think I'm going back to full time.
He did say he wanted to drive my Spyder.
By the way, this dealership puts on a car show every year to raise money for the DAV. Last year they raised just over $7,000.
