There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. LED Auxiliary Running Light Bar - will my Spyder have this plug & are a/mkt light bars as good as BRP's?

I just purchased a 2024 Spider Sea to Sky that I will pickup next week from the dealer about a days ride away. They have the BRP auxiliary light bar that I thought was a must have, they said they'd give me discount price at $350 Canadian and $150 shop time to install. I just watched a video by Spyder Wayne - Upgrade your can-am Spyder RT - LED Light Bar Plug-n-Play:

I didn't catch the year or if it's a Sea to Sky, but it is the newer post 2020 RT ltd at least. He installed the bar by simply unplugging the filler and plugging in the light bar from Slingmods. Would my bike have the same plug and are the aftermarkets light bars just as good as the BRP lights? Thanks.

I bought one off Amazon for my 2024 S2S. Plugged in and works great.
I'm not sure if it's as bright as the BRP one, but many have mentioned that it's very noticeable.
I've ridden a little bit with it at night and it's helpful.
For a fraction of the cost and completely plug and play, I'm satisfied.

So was it just a matter of removing that cover and unplugging from the cover and plugging into the new light? Like the video showed?

Ok, called the dealer and told them I'll buy the BRP lite from them and I'll do the install, save myself 1.5 hrs labour. Thanks guys, appreciate the input I've received, I'm sure I'll be back for more.

You will have it done in less than 20 min. It was an easy thing to add! Enjoy your new Spyder!

Hey guys, I am having issues with the same question.

My 2023 Spyder RTL does NOT have the cannon plug behind the blanking plate (I’m in the UK and I know some European models had it and some don’t).

I was about to create a new thread but will try to see if I can piggy back on this one...

Without the required cannon connection on the bike side, what is the simplest way to wire the light into the electrics (or straight switch from the battery as I have a battery charger connection if that makes it easier?)? I was at the dealer today and they said “the connection isn’t there” without supplying a way to make it work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

If you removed the left side panel, the one with the 3 pushpins and 2 bolts, you should see the cable to plug those light on. It's switched with the motor ON and if you buy it in Europe that extension will come with it…

Unfortunately you will need to disassemble the frunk as well, look for Martin the vlogger on YOUTUBE, he has a video on how to do this.
