Just wondering if anybody got tired of spyder problems ( down time, parts on backorder, incompetent dealers, DPS issues) and tried to return it under the Lemon Law? I might be wrong but guidelines are 3 unsuccessful attempts to repair the same problem while still under factory warranty or sitting in a shop without resolution of a problem for more that 30 days while under warranty.

Check your state, Lemon Law does not apply to motorcycles in MI. There are past threads on this if you do the search.

AMTJIM, I think he's back on a Spyder now. His first one was a lemon.

There are two more that I know of, who wish to keep it to him/her selves. Only slightly less than half the states have lemon laws that apply to motorcycles.

I could not lemon law mine so I traded it for a crusier, back to two wheels for now.

The wife and I got matching Suzuki Boulevards, I have the C90T and she has the C50T the are the same color and the same mods.
I am going to keep watching this forum and the other one for updates and news because the Spyders are addictive. I will most likely be on another one in the future.

I am extremely happy to report that my Spyder -- so far in 10,000+ miles -- has not required any warranty work beyond the few buds updates my Spyder was listed for.

Lemon Laws are state by state. In NH it is reported as:

The New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board consists of 5 members and three alternates representing the following groups:

• Consumers (3 consumer representatives).
• Dealers.
• Mechanics.

The Arbitration Board conducts hearings after the owner or lessee of the problem vehicle has documented one of the following:

• At least three unsuccessful warranted repair attempts to correct a defect or nonconformity.
• 30 or more business days out-of-service during the warranty period for warranted problems.
• The alleged defect(s) or condition(s) must not be the result of abuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or alterations by the customer.

I should add that the actual statute says:

X. "Motor vehicle" means: (a) A motor vehicle, as defined in RSA 259:60, of the private passenger or station wagon type with a gross weight not exceeding 9,000 pounds that is purchased or leased by a consumer; or
(b) Any other 4-wheel motor vehicle with a gross weight not exceeding 9,000 pounds, except tractors, and mopeds; or
(c) Motorcycles, or
(d) Any off highway recreational vehicle as defined in RSA 215-A:1, VI.

Connecticut also has the lemon law. Doesn't look like too difficult a process - just lengthy.

Yes, mine went right through lemon law, it's strong here in Arizona in that all kinds of vehicles are considered(4 or more visits with same problem, or 30 or more non-consecutive more days). Mine made repeated visits and lived in the shop. As my only vehicle, it made life difficult and had to go. I went back to 2 wheels and a bicyclist of all things (not sure what happened, amnesia) nearly got me killed. I did miss the spyder and was happy to be relieved of of the burden, but loved the ride. So I was allowed to try another and so far, so good on the '09. If you want to keep it, you will need the mindset of aircraft ownership. Be ready for down time, you can't repair most of this machine yourself...BUDS is needed for corrective action. I have my Jeep as primary vehicle this time, the spyder is for fun only. Depending on how long I keep it, eventually it will get stripped naked. I also bought a collection tools to remain on this machine to avoid being stuck in limp mode speed.
