• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lithium battery...

I bought the lithium battery and the lithium battery tender junior. Surpising how much lighter the battery is...

Its also much smaller, so I built a wood spacer for three sides to hold it still. I also like that it has four poles on it, so mains can connect on one set, and all the accessory stuff on the other two...

So far so good. Theoretically, these last "5x" longer. We shall see, wont we?

I went through amazon... somewhat more than the yuasa, but if it does actually last longer...

LITHIUM BATTERY

One word of caution! a Lithium battery must have a special charger or tender for that type of battery. RDWII stated that he bought a lithium battery tender and that's wise. Using a wrong charger can make the battery swell and even explode.

The only caveat in charging a Lithium Ion battery is not to have a "de-sulfation" mode . Here is an article on charging a Shorai LI battery. I put one in my BMW F650 GS 3 years ago and keep it on a Schumacher brand tender.

There were no foam blocks. I used what I am used to, wood. I build furniture, make custom crown molding, etc., so its easy peasy.

Shoria Battery

I purchased the above for my V-Max about 2.5 years ago and no problems at all. It weighs nothing.

The weight savings alone make these batteries and interesting option... Please keep us posted as to how well it does the job!
