There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Loading the Groceries.

I can't be the only one this has happened to. We went shopping for some groceries on the RT today. Picked up a few items including a watermelon, a couple of six packs of pop, bananas, paper towels and I bunch of other things. This man walks up to me and an with asks "where are you going to put all of that"? I said "watch this" and proceeded to load the groceries with room to spare. He was astonished! He then went on to ask me what after over 3 years of answering are the routine Spyder questions.

About a month ago I noticed a couple watching me load the groceries. When I got done they walked up and told me they could not believe everything fit.

Anyone else have a similar experience to share.

I've had my RT-S for about 2 weeks now. I'll bite. Where did you put the watermelon? Or was it one of those small round ones?

loaded

i've loaded all kinds of stuff on the ride, from work i took home a panel ( it was aprox. 3X1 feet wide) that i needed and tie-wrapped it to the set cross ways and it looked like an aircraft:roflblack:

They say a pic is worth a thousand words- Teddy was tired after all this shopping

At Christmas time I was shopping for the grandkids and had totally forgotten I was on the spyder. I came out from Toy Rus with people around my spyder. Without a 2nd thought I loaded up my RT while the audience watched with their mouths open. Got on and rode away. They were amazed.
One of the guys said to me "wow that's just like a car". I said "yeah I just took the top off".:yes:

We do the grocery shopping with the Spyder at every oppportunity.
And we always get somebody who has to ask about it! :D

I fulll size watermelon easily fits in the frunk with lots of room left on top of it.

Is that one of Teddy's siblings? ;)
THAT white cat is Skydmarque (skydie for short) and she is with me now . In Mo and has LONG hair as I let her grow back so she could keep warmer. She was a very aggressive cat and chewed up Teddy's ear so I got her. Now when she gets aggressive she gets put outside to have her time out!!! She does quite well out there now even in the rain. And Dave I remember all those groceries you put into your Red Sled. I laughed then and was AMAZED at the same time. But have since done some of the same kind of thing. Wish BRP would put how many Cubic Inches it would hold instead of 41 GAL!!!!!:roflblack:

Been to Wal-Mart with the wife and had to remind her we were on the Spyder but, hey with the aftermarket trailer and the Spyder it all fit.

But it is funny when you come out of the store and remember you have the Spyder and the thinking starts where to put all the stuff. Got to love it.

I've had that sinking feeling on several occasions when I wheel the cart out and think to myself ....will it all fit??? Luckily, so far, the Spyder has had enough storage. I just had a visual. Driving home with a watermelon in my wife's lap!

I've gone grocery shopping a couple of times with my RT and the trailer. It gives me an excuse to go riding. I've had no problems getting everything to fit.

Tony

It tickles me when going to Lowes with the trailer behind the RT. Coming out with the basket loaded and opening the trailer to start loading and someone asks "do you think all that is going to fit in there", then to see their faces when it's all loaded and with room to spare.

Almost 4got about these- How many Spyders have U put N your Spyder & ................

Back in 2010 they had just come to market with the RC Spyders & since they weren't available everywhere at that time, Teddy offered anyone in the world that wanted one (or more) that we'd pick them up & ship them to them free of charge from us, just reimburse us for the cost of the unit & shipping. Believe it or not, we shipped out 6 units, some heading to Belgium, Canada and also other parts of the US & we were able to get them shipped just in time for Christmas. I already had 2 at the house, so I was able to pick up 4 more units using our 1st Spyder which was a 2010 RT-S & the RT-622 Trailer

Sometimes, you've just gotta be creative

Then back in 2011, in preperations for SITA in upstate New York, I found 2 full size foldable camp chairs on sale for $5 each
& couldn't pass it up & also needed a couple of those swimming noodles to make bumper-pads out of for in the garage,
and well, you see how we managed that ....

ummmmmm.......... as a matter of fact ............ YES ........ YES WE DID !!!

So, Dave, did you ever take the cat for a ryde?? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I'm sure we've all heard the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions!" right?

Well, back in the winter of 2010, after getting our 1st Spyder that May, I started feeling guilty for leaving Teddy at home all alone, durring the freezing rydes that I would do on a daily basis. Being totally new at the ryding thing, I hadn't yet figured out a good way of being able to take Teddy with me & keep him from freezing, so that first winter, he stayed home alot and made sure I knew he wasn't happy about that. So, thinking in the short term for his best interest, I decided to go to the local pound and adopt him a play-mate so he wouldn't be all alone. I knew I didn't have enough time for another dog and from prior experience, knew that cats were very independant and wouldn't need nearly as much time as a dog would, so I figured I'd adopt a pet cat for Teddy to play with.

Now Teddy is a lover, not a fighter :ohyea:& has actually been beaten up by stray cats on 3 different occasions while we were out walking. So, taking this into condideration, I figured it best to adopt a brand new baby kitten, that way Teddy would be :doorag:BOSS:doorag: & the kitten would grow up being subservient to Teddy & that should take care of any of those sort of 'issues'.

The shelter had a no declaw policy, which worried me, but I figured since I found this 6 week old kitten that was found in someones yard, that she should be the perfect play-mate for Teddy & could grow up alongside him, being bestest of friends ...... right .........

Well, Teddy was a bit jealous from the start & didn't like the idea of sharing my attention, but they got along well enough. Over the next 4 months however, Skydie grew to be larger than Teddy & with her claws in tact, well ..... to put it mildly  she made Teddy her b*tch  He was so scared of her & for good reason, she'd tear into him like there was no tomorrow :helpsmilie:

I've never posted close up pics of Teddy's ears when their shaved down, but both of them are sliced toward the bottom from tussles that they've gotten into  & I'm just thankful that she only got his ears & missed his eyes :yikes: After seeing both ears get sliced, I knew then that I had to do something, cause I had basically just made Teddy's life miserable, being bullied by Skyddie anytime I wasn't around, so for like 9 hours a day while I was at work, and they were both in the upstairs bedroom ...... poor pup :(

That's when I posted on here about needing to find Skyddie (her full name was SkydMarq) a new home, and ThreeFeet of the MoGang fame had commented on how beautiful her coat & and markings were and that she already had a few cats, so one more couldn't hurt. She was a fan of Teddy ever since we first met when Len introduced us before SpyderFest & Teddy & I got initiated as honorary members of the MoGang, so she figured if she could help out her buddy Teddy by giving Skyddie a new home, she was all for it

And Teddy & I had been jones'n for a road-trip, and ThreeFeet lives in Salem MO which is just a ways past cowtown, so .......... sure enough, Teddy & I packed up his Red Sled & he took his position as 'BOSS' right behind me, and Skyddie, well, she got to enjoy the 600+ mile trip in the comforts of Teddy's Dog House on wheels, and she road the entire way in our Moto-Mate Camper all the way to ThreeFeets.

So, short answer made long, YUP, we took that cat for one hell'uva ryde ........................... :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: & Teddy couldn't be happier about it :clap::clap:

Here's a few pics from that trip to ThreeFeets, who made room in her huge garage for Teds Sled & Camper too  and room in her heart to give Skyddie a new Loving Home
