• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mesh Grill Stubby Antenna

New Member - I've seen a lot of references to the "Mesh Grill Stubby Antenna" on the forums. Does this replace the stock whip antenna or is it for CB application? Where can you find this? My web searches haven't been successful. Thanks!

:welcome: I think they are two different things. Stubby antenna no problem as stated above Wal-Mart and the mesh grilles you can get to replace the plastic ones on the spyder.

Isn't there some kind of honey comb grill for the "volcano hole" on the right side that is sold after market? I was thinking there was to match the left hand side.

So it's actually two pieces;
I asked about that once...
The Rep told me that it was an absolute intent of theirs to have nothing blocking the path of airflow...

Bob, you might wanna take a look at Harvey's a/k/a Spyderpops heat shield. That thing really works.

I originally thought that a matching right side grille would look nice on the bike.
Realizing that they didn't leave it out just to save money has me holding off on the purchase.

I've looked at all of those grilles; they're really sharp!
I tried a stubby antenna; it didn't work worth a hoot up here in our mountains...

Thanks!

I suspect I was looking at peoples' lists of mods and they were run together ... meshgrillestubbyantenna ... Or some such misreading.
Thanks for all of the input and the one critique of the antenna...guess I really don't need it. :sour:

Mesh Grill

Spyderpops have chrome mesh grills. Since I don't use foot pegs I have chrome mesh on both side one on the left and upper and lower on the right.
