• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mesh Jackets

Looking for some ideas from everyone.

Live in southern Arizona, and it's starting to get warmer, and I need a warm (hot) weather mesh riding jacket.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

I have the Cortech mesh with leather by Tourmaster. It has zip out rain and insulated liners and removable armor. Very good in any weather.

I don't use a mesh jacket since I don't want to get wet just in case it started raining. This is probably a rare thing to see where you are at but not where I am. It can also get hot (more like humid) so this is my solution that I use under my gore-tex textile/leather jacket that only features the typical vents. It keeps me cool for about 150 miles (by the time all the water evaporates) which is perfect because that's when I usually stop somewhere to rest or get fuel and rehydrate the sleeve. This is by far the best purchase (as far as riding gear goes) that I have made when it comes to comfort. I thought it was a dumb idea but I tried it because of their return policy.

Lots of good choices on this site http://www.newenough.com/

Great site dltang ! Just ordered 2 Mesh jackets from First Gear .

Yup and they have great service too. I had to return a coat that didn't fit real well and there was absolutely no hassle whatsoever. I like to just go look as some of the great stuff they have and see what they have on closeout sale as well. Glad you found some things you like.:2thumbs:

We got some Joe Rocket Phoenix jackets. Good armor and as long as you are moving, they are cool. Zip out waterproof liner is nice too, good for cool days. We got the white/black jackets hoping they will be cooler

i just went out and bought a First Gear at Cycle World in Modesto. $89.99. Nice. Thanks for the tip everyone.

Now if it would just stop raining......

I also got a First Gear Mesh Rush jacket about a month ago from newenough.com on closeout for $59? Regular $129! It has quality CE armor and a windproof, waterproof liner ! GREAT SERVICE!!!!! I will always look there FIRST!!:D

This has been my favorite as well - also got mine from the newenough site. Great prices! I've gotten quite a few compliments on my jacket.

I like my Joe Rocket. I also have a cooling vest for hot weather that works well; especially when the humidity is not too high.

Tour Master Draft Air

I have a Tourmaster "Draft Air" jacket. It also has a rain and quilted liner. Armour elbows and spine guard. First jacket away from Leather and I love it. Heres a link. The Silver matches the Spyder nicely, The Blue and Red also look like a good match. http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=49&cat=3
