• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Missing chrome ring on gauges

Gee!!! A ring is a ring and I want it back right. Some people just don't understand. Look at "Lord of the Ring",,, now they went a long way for the ring. All kidding asside, I think I know how you feel PeacefulBen. It's like when you put the first scratch on a new toy!!! Glad it's resolved though!:D

We should all learn lessons as we travel this road of life. :lecturef_smilie:
My lesson here was to inspect my Spyder thoroughly everytime it comes back from the dealer.
I should have caught that sooner.:banghead:

This whole thread got me to looking closer at mine... both of my gauges are simple black ones; no chrome at all...

:agree:After a closer look, RT-S with the chrome Can-Am logos have the chrome rings on them. On the A&C packages they are black.

Ben, I'm glad they got your issue resolved. But like Freebob said, make sure you get it in writting. ;)

"The case of the missing ring"
Mystery has been solved. Met with my dealer this morning. :chat:
When I had the Spyder in for a service, the dealer replaced a faulty fuel gauge (covered under a service bulletin) on my 2010 RT A/C, (which came with the black ring gauges) with a chrome ring gauge. It seems there were no "black" gauges available at that time. :dontknow:

Now he is going to send this info to CanAm and see if they will either let him replace the existing chrome ring gauge with a black one, or replace the black temp gauge with a chrome one. I told him I didn't really care either way, as long as they both match.

Thanks to all for your input. It is great to know we can share ideas and problems on this site. Thanks, Lamonster!!
Now if they can just find that missing grill on the right side panel. :D
