I took my RT for a run yesterday to Covina from Barstow (about 95 mi) to begin my retirement process from the railroad: only 153 days to go!
Going down I kinda rode the flow of traffic basically: 80 MPH with the shield up all the way half the time. Cruise control on for about 30 mi until I got into traffic. MPG approximately 21 but I don't think the tank was totally full. Not great but better mileage than my truck.
I stopped at Bert's afterwards to ask about the mileage and ask why the frunk lid jams shut or is hard to close. As far as the mileage the service mgr. said it still has to broken in (huh?) and the lid has no adjustment but apparently there is a service bulletin on the electric latch. At only 300 miles???
Going home I kept it at 73 as best as I could, cruise on, shield down and got a very respectable in Spyder standards 35 MPG. I'm using premium as per the handbook.
I discovered when you kick off the cruise control make sure nobody is behind you because there is a definite kick.
I miss my GS, in fact we had a visit together at Berts, but the RT is very comfy.
