There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Need info on 2021 RT seat removal to install backrest?

Like I said, I'm looking for instructions for seat removal for a 2021 spyder rtl, I already have instructions for "BPR drivers backrest" installation. The link you put in is for an aftermarket backrest.

Lift the front seat, reach under rear of front seat and press the two tabs, lift up on rear seat, unplug wires for heated seat if equipped then remove seat. Takes all of 2 minutes maybe.
:agree: . While the video may be aimed at showing how to install the a/mkt backrest, if you have a look at it, there's also some pretty clear instructions and video of how to remove the seat - starting at about 3 mins 20 secs in - wasn't that what you wanted?? :dontknow:
Just purchased the PDF service manual for the 2021 RTL (Ebay) and searched all 770 pages and can't find any instructions for removing the passenger seat. But found some good info on the SpyderLovers forum that explained it. The 2 tabs easily release the seat but make sure you re-engage the tangs at the rear and double check the wiring harness is tucked away and not pinched when reinstalling the seat.
