Need some tips on replacing a Bad Brake piston gasket - any ideas?

I was trying to replace the rear brake pads. Looked like an easy fix. Well, not so fast. First, I noticed what I assume is a dust dirt gasket was deteriorated. I tried to turn the piston back into place. I couldn't do it. Questions:
1. Where and what do I buy the gasket replacement?
2. I may need to put more pressure on it. I do not think it came unthreaded, but it won't turn. A little CW but only a little. I've worked with it with WD 40 and Brake cleaner. Any ideas will help.
3. If I cannot get the piston back, can I put the pads back on so I can reinstall the caliper and drive it to the mechanic?
 
You need to supply the model year for questions like this.
1. If this RT has the Brembo brakes (later model years) call your dealer and ask if part number 219800242 ($32.99) is correct. It's listed as a dust cover, but is a non-illustrated part in the online catalog.
2. Yes, try pushing very hard inward as you try to turn the piston back in. Usually after they start turning they start getting easier to turn.
3. In theory, yes you could, but, it may be very hard to get the caliper back on with the pads in place and no slack from not turning the piston back in.
 
If the rear caliper piston has the 2 rotation attachment points, it doesn't matter what year or model you have. Everything from 2013 on is the same.
 
Hi everyone, Thanks for your advice. I was able to get it fixed with the help of a neighbor and fellow motorcyclist. I held the caliper while he turned the piston. He'd turn it some and think it was done. After a few minutes, we could do it some more. Finally, we had it enough to get pads in it and over the rotor. Once on enough to begin inserting the bolts, it moved freely over the rotor. Now it's done and runs great, and brakes feel right. We had a picnic with friends at a park on the river about 25 miles away. As we drove, the check engine light went out, and there are no codes anymore.
