New adjustable handlebars

Seen the new Tri Axis adjustable handlebar for the RT offered for 2013 and I like them. My dealer said around $1000.00 for the install and bars. Book list them for$649.99 carbon black. Was told around 4 hours to install. Has anyone seen a copy of the instructions to install them yet. Or better yet have a copy of the instructions. Thanks, Bob :clap:

I saw these at the MC show Saturday in Chicago, seemed to be a big hit. I found that I liked them adjusted to the current RT hand position.

Wow..!!

Not that i am in the know..but that seems a lot for both the bars and the install. Of course I ryde an RS and the bars come off if I yell at them...:roflblack: would like to see them.

There has been one report of installing the bars here. Though they are listed at 4 hours flat rate for the install, it took an experienced tech almost twice that long. Unless you have considerable skills and a good supply of cuss words, you may want to have a dealer do it...if he will do it for flat rate and not the actual time spent.

On Amazon, they are $650 for black and $800 for chrome. Sold by Louis Powersports.

I very well can see why they would charge 4 hours to change out. I took mine off for painting. Them 4 bolts you see is now all that holds them on. There is 6 more under them that only very small hands can get to. NOT FUN.

I would like my bars to come back about an inch to inch and a half and down maybe half an inch. Are they adjustable enough to permit that? I heard somewhere they mainly adjust forward.

I have the chrome adjustable handlebars. I love them.... It took a HIGHLY EXPERIENCED TECH 5 hours to do the install, although since mine was only their second one, they didn't charge for that much.. It is a complex procedure.

If it involves removing the existing bars off a 2012 RT, it is a GIANT PITA!

OK, I got my Farkle fix. Just ordered a set. hyea:. The guy on ebay has two left at $499. I like a good challenge and I can't imagine paying full retail plus $400 for installation. Besides, the steering is a part of the Spyder I haven't taken apart yet. :doorag: .

Lamonster thanks for the video. I love the bars and the new bluetooth wireless system. They talk about using rider to pasenger conversation, bike radio and xm but no one has said that it works with the on board cb system. I would like to know if it does or not. Could you find out if it works with the bikes incluesive audio system including CB. Thanks.

My understanding is you have to unplug the CB, and there's no place to plug it back in.
