There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. new BMW K1600B

Sweet ride, would be great to tour on. if I were 25 years younger, I would give this bike a really serious look.

That is a very nice bike. Will really put the pressure on the Honda F6B, Street Glide, and Kawasaki Vaquero. From what I see, I would rather have the BMW.

I bought it used...the first year they made them and this was 1976

Tell me you bought it new in 1976 ... and that you have kept it too!!! LOL

I bought a R100/7 in 1977 and I still have it. I don't ride it much but it is still MINE :-)

Wish I had kept it..mine was a 1975? If I recall..had 2 R100RS's...1st one got totaled by a car sliding sideways down the road...while I stood upright with my quivering steed between my legs after being hit...sure wish I hadn't been wearing shorts......exhausts are warm

I HAD THE K1600 GTL, I LOVED THE BIKE. i sold it to get my first 2013 spyder rtl. the bikes are all electronics, but i thought it was a great bike. tow of my friends that also had them, had nothing but problems with them. oil and water pump leaks were the worst.

My 1st BMW was the '95 K1200GT, massive machine but once rolling she was very nimble. Rode everyday in Manhattan traffic & on occasion spiltting the lanes... in 2010 went in for an oil change & after reading so much about the new 1600GTL & seeing it in person I was even more amazed. Dealers were only fulfilling pre-orders & there was one that was unable to finance. My mistake was test riding it... right out the gate I almost lost control because of the wire throttle & smooth powerful engine. After circulating Daytona 3 times I traded in the K1200GT & rode home in the K1600GTL. In late 2014 after waiting to see the Slingshot I went back to the Can Am dealer looking for the Champagne RT & had just missed an end of year sale settled on the red 2015 RTL. Tremendous difference between the two machines but still very enjoyable. Of course if I could put the BMW engine in the Can Am.....oh well.... I better not test ride this one...lol

i was talking to a friend of mine today, he also had the k1600 and said he saw the new one and thinks they are trying to compete with harley on this one. the new one is 168 hp. but is 2 inches lower in the rear then the 1600 gtl. i will go test ride one, once they hit the streets.

My son has a 2016 K1600 GTL he loves it. It is a very nice bike. If I was taller and 10 years younger I would love to have one. They are very nice! I wish BMW would come out with a reverse trike!
