• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Improves stability of bluetooth connection, if installed, allows rear view camera to be seen on screen while in reverse.

So the rear camera can be installed on the 2024? I know there’s a slot for a Fuse - up front.

Mine is store for the winter, but I might go into the garage, lift the cover, and see what I get...

Google couldn't find a Can-Am backup camera Accessory for my 2024 Spyder, but it appears that there will be one available for the 2025 Canyon.

I bought mine on the 15th of November and last week I hooked it up to WiFi and it said I was up to date. I think I know where the connector is for the backup camera as I was installing my Afterburner Tail Lights today. On the left side where the light harness was there was a three pin connector unterminated. Could be for the camera.

The camera is a listed accessory on the Can Am website. It's about $250

I did finally find the backup camera kit under the "Coming Soon" category, but as 2024Sea2SkyCW3 mentioned it doesn't fit my 2024 Spyder.

The part number is: 219401199

You like to ride hard and push limits, but you know safety matters most. The fully waterproof Can-Am Canyon Camera Backup Kit has everything you need right in your dashboard to see up to 33 feet behind your vehicle. No one likes surprises from behind. Be even safer the next time you hit the road with this 3-wheel motorcycle camera backup kit.

The description made me smile, as I believe it to be a perfect example of marketing puffery:

puffery - noun

: exaggerated commendation especially for promotional purposes
: hype

The forecast here is for rain overnight and through Noon and then stopping. I hope it's correct, as I'd like to ride tomorrow.

I also went out to check if there was an update available, and it showed me there was one: BRP Connect V3.1.0

And this is where I became very confused.
It required the Spyder to be connected to a Wifi network, which I did.
But then it didn't download anything, it went right to installing the update.

And I thought I saw a message that briefly displayed about a maps update.

And even though the new battery was fully charged, it wouldn't install unless the engine was running.
So I opened the door to the garage, started the engine, and it went through several installation steps.

One of the things it installed was a new version of the updater, and then it installed BRP Connect V3.1.0.

After it finished installing it displayed a check mark next to the BRP Connect version and the word Installed.

It also displayed a Check for Updates button, but said there were no updates when I pressed it.

So my Spyder is now up to date. I think.

New update. Possibility to install a reversing camera. Please does anyone know where the connector for this is? Please photo.

Did you read the previous posts in this thread?

The backup camera is a 2025 accessory and doesn't fit earlier models.

But I have a model 2024 and the software allows you to connect a camera. (see photo) Just connect the camera to the correct port.

Majo1982,

I have the connector, I think. I was installing the Afterburner Lights and had to access the left lighting connector (arrow) . On my bike (2024) there was a terminated three pin connector just above the lighting connector on the left side, there was not one on the right side. I did not take a picture of it but it was right there. How did you get your display to show the lines?

Have you actually connected the "Can-Am Canyon Camera Backup Kit" to a 2024 Spyder?

I went back to the Camera Backup Kit website and ran through the options under the "Does this fit on my vehicle?".

According to the website, it does not fit on a 2024 Spyder RT S2S.

It does fit the 2025 Canyon, and (somewhat to my surprise) the website says it fits on a 2025 Spyder RT and 2025 Spyder F3, but does not fit the 2025 Ryker.

I haven't connected the camera. I'm waiting for the official sale of the Model 2025. Then I'll order it and connect it to the Model 2024. Unfortunately, the camera in the BRP offer doesn't fit, it's a completely different camera. see photo. I'll probably have to buy the back cover too.

Took mine apart today to change the backup light bulb that was burned out, already installed an LED version… I will also be doing the BRP hitch.

I believe this is the connector for the camera circle in red… it has a cap…

My camera kit showed up yesterday. The first picture shows what is included in the kit including the mounting brackets and screws.

It plugged right into the connector on the left side of the bike. The wire color pattern was consistent.

Then the moment of truth. Threw it into reverse and no picture.😭

Checked the connection and camera is getting power when in reverse but no lights come on.

I need to find a shop manual with wiring diagram that shows the connection to the display. I'll also test the camera with another display to see if the issue is no connection to the Spyder's display.

I have to button it back up to go riding so I'm shelving this for now. 😩

Did you check if there’s a fuse in that slot?

I’m taking my frunk off tomorrow for some work. I think it’s in the left fuse box (I will confirm) I saw that last year…

I did not check fuses, but it would be great if there is a missing fuse that protects the feed from the camera to the dash display.

Please let me know what you find. I still have the panels off the Spyder.

The camera fuse, is the same as the backup light front fuse holder left side… in the lower left corner…

So if the backup light works… the camera should (I will check if connector gets power)

It look like a new back panel would be required to install that for a factory look 👀 🤷🏻‍♂️ ?

I insert a photo from someone else's S2S 2024 camera...
