• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEXX in LINE

I bought this helmet because it has built in bluetooth and BLINC technology so my friend and I can talk during the ride.

Two helmets are better than one... you to will eventually follow the same path as me, there's no turning back now....keep spending, keep spending (just don't let the wife find out)
You can't resist a new innovative product.

Bones as you always said... I'm a doctor Jim not a mind reader

Motz,

We discussed this some time ago...just because you have a split personality doesn't mean that each one needs its own helmet! :roflblack:

I WISH I CAN TRY ON THE ROOF BOXER V...:gaah:
Maybe some one from the Roof company will send me ome for review.
Even the music from the introduction makes me want that helmet! www.roof.fr/

Nexx X30

I just got the x30. I like it. You can just crack the front face plate for extra air. It is my warm weather helmet. I don't think it would be good for really cold weather riding though as it does fog up quite easily.

As for too many helmets - everytime my wife gets a new purse, I get a new helmet! I think I have seven now...

I'll vouch for the HJC by saying that in a blinding thunderstorm, your head will stay wet and your visibility is great!

Motz,

What is it with you and helmets? I'm almost willing to bet you have as many helmets as socks??

I like my IS-16 Scratch...does all I need it to, is cheap, and is quite light...good way to go, IMHO...

Helmets, shoes, purses....what the :cus:'s the difference. If it floats your boat......go for it.

:ohyea:

Bought one last week... absolutely stunning helmet. Without a doubt the most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. Takes a little while to get used to the visor opening tab being on the top lip but thats all.
I have the Shark RSX. Wish I'd held off for the Evoline but the Shark is a very comfortable helmet. :2thumbs:

Motza

Your timing with this link is perfect.

Lovely bride says "I think I need a new helmet."

I am trying the old "Well, dear, why don't you just take mine, and I'll sacrifice for you and take the trouble of getting a new one...? "

(Anyone try on a Nexx yet, for sizing, how does it compare to Shoei, etc...? Looks like no dealers north of Connecticut.)

As much as I would like a new helmet, (not that I need one, it is just fun to get new stuff), I just can't give up my HJC Carbon Fiber. It is rated in the top 10 lightest helmets on WebBike and it is light. I am so much less fatigued after a ride than I was with my old helmet. When it is time for a new helmet, I will have to consider going the same route again.

Tell you what I did.
I spoke with the guys in Ca. @ Nexx-Usa. I wasn't sure of my size, and I paid up front for the X-30 to be shipped to me in size med. (I didn't know any bike shops in my area that carried their helmet let alone even heard of the helmet.) After I fiqured that the medium was the wrong size I ordered the large, which fits me fine.
My first helmet is a Shoei RF 1000
in large. Love the Shoei but, my head is oval and I end up with a crease on top of my far head from the padding it takes a couple of hours fot it to disappear.
My Nexx helmet I bought for the summer. I hope to land a Roof Boxer V8 some day, just to try it for size.
Call them at Nexx they are easy to work with. By the way,Nexx asked if I was interested in reping them in my state, I declined as I already run a business 12/6 Good luck, with your new helmet.
www.Revzilla.com which is in Phila. will soon be carring the Nexx helmet line, ask for Marcus tell him your a Spyder rider and was refered by me.

Thanks, Motza, for taking the trouble to give all this advice.

The last helmet I bought was the Shoei RF1000 as well, and both that and the Nexx X30 seem to be rated round/neutral, so I'm hoping my first guess at sizing will be the same as for the Shoei, but it's encouraging to have yet another dealer who will be easy to work with.

(By the way, Recluze, h o·mol·o·gate:
To approve, especially to confirm officially.
So I guess the X30 is "officially" a full-face. :dontknow:)

Boy, I always just get called a fat head....hmmmm...

My helmet, the IS-16, is rated as one of the heavier helmets, yet it is much lighter than the AC-12 (non-carbon) that I used to have...
