• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that the 2014's have been announced

From a reviewer I read, he said that the acceleration was the same if you were racing and that he didn't think the 1300 would win by much. The difference he felt is that the 1300 can carry loads better and pull all lower rpms.

I,m Not Hearing Loads of Glowing reports from test drivers BUT then again those "Glowing Reports" of the 2013 model from test drivers did not pan out for MANY with the Heat Problems that seriously Diminish the value of affected 2013 RT,s and ST,s????

Facts are facts- Its Projected 115 HP Is only 9 more HP than many of us that own the 08-12 GS/RS model AND its Like 315 Pounds heavier Soo the Fastest Model will still be the OLD GS/RS as far as acceleration and Top Speed!!

I think it adds a Lot of what Touring Riders want But for people who do Afternoon rides most of the time I see No Big need to go into more dept until we get some "Real Model" Feedback and the Prices drop Next Oct-Nov 2014?? Thats when I would buy one-No Until!!:yikes:

I don't think there were many test rides on the 2014. I was asked to test drive them last January but the test was cancelled due to confidentiality issues a couple of days before the test was supposed to happen. I'm sure I would not have bought a 2013 if I had test drove the 2014 but I'd probably have gone crazy keeping such a huge secret for almost an entire year.

So that was why it was canceled. I was away on a cruise the week before, and when I returned only had a voice mail on my phone saying it was postpones to a later date, and if I was still interested in doing it. Never was told if it was done or not. Sure would have been fun to do it.

You could have told me; I can keep a secret... HONEST! :D

The reviews I've read so far say the RT's are basically a tie 0-60 but 60-80 it stomps the older 991 models.

1,012 lb 2014 RT vs 699 lbs 2009 GS. That's 45% heavier.

96 ft-lbs vs 77 ft-lbs or 25% more peak torque. But at lower rpm, there's 40% more torque which is more usable in day to day riding.

I'm positive the 1330 is a blast to ride. But 45% more weight is definitely going to bog it down when you're comparing it to a GS. I don't think the RT was ever meant to appeal to the GS crowd to begin with. Maybe the ST? it's only 864 lbs (without bags) or 24% more than a GS put the 1330 in that and we can talk.
