• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil filters - are these rubber pieces usually there?

search amazon for can am spyder 1330 oil filter

NOT !!! Lamonster & BajaRon both have all the filters required. They ship FREE and supply all gaskets and O-rings in each kit. They started and sponsor the forum we are on! I will continue to get my filter supplies from them.

Yes.
Without a teardown and close look at aftermarket filters it's a guessing game as to the quality. Same goes for genuine filters.I've used both and haven't had problems with any. A manufacturing fault can render any filter useless regardless of brand, country of origin or supplier. Support the forum guys if possible if not don't feel guilty it's your choice.

Count me in as a supporter of our site sponsor Lamonster Garage. His oil filter kits include everything you need and are excellent quality.

Those filters do not fit your bike. OEM part number is 420956744.
I also recommend either Lamonster or BajaRon.

You can play around with your oil to a point, but I would not play around with your filters! But it's your bike, your choice!

Interesting. The description states;

The Hoypeyfiy oil filters trap harmful contaminants before they reach the carburetor, maintain the life of your machine engine.

A meaningless oversite, I'm sure. But amusing all the same. Especially considering that the Spyder doesn't have a carburetor. Even if the oil filter did have anything to do with the fuel system.

Lamonster Garage usually ships quickly.

I have bought several of the oil filter kits from Lamonster Garage.

Woooaah there, stick by the oil thread rules!

Now that we've established where we buy them from :banghead: (which isn't what the op asked). Anyone have specs on any filters we use regarding microns,number of pleats,material thickness,dimensions,etc and the reasoning behind those specs we could look into?
