• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Play in the power steering, is it fixable?

When my 2012 RT SE5 was in for wheel alignment by my local dealer, he said there was a lot of play in the steering located at the power steering.
So, I wonder if this is just a "tighten your nuts and bolts" job or if it is time for new parts?
If anyone has had the same experience, I would be thankful for tips and pointers!

Probably your universal joint needing to be replaced. Tierod ball joints can also give you slop in the steering. But it sounds like this is not the case. How much do your handlbars move (engine off) before meeting resistance?

I checked the play and it is 10mm each way, 20mm in total.
I also noticed that when I move the handlbar rapidly within the play, I get a small clanking sound.
It sounds like it is comming from the senter of the front section, so near the powerstearing area.
I will put it on the lift and have a check under there later on. (y)
