Prices for 3,000 mile service including oil and filter.

I was just curious what the various dealers are charging for JUST and oil change and filter. Also , what are they charging for the 3,000 mile. Whether or not the oil and filter are included. I know my dealer charges $65 plus parts for the oil change. I believe we are talking about $65 for the oil and filters.

That's a very good price. It usually costs me $250-$300 for that, plus a check over.

I just purchased the SE5 oil change kit for $89.66 (I think the SM5 was 79.99) from my local dealership for my 3K service. Labor is in the ball park of $90 an hour for an estimate of 1.5 hrs it would be approximately $209.66. I decided to use Lamonster's tupperware stripping video and my BRP :spyder2: manual later this week and make the labor up myself. I was assured that doing the interval oil changes myself will NOT void the warranty as long as I document it (Receipts, etc.). I hope this helps.

I thank all of you for the information. I guess the recession has not hit the BRP dealers yet. LOL. I guess when you buy a Mercedes, you just have to pay the high price of maintenance. It's interesting that BRP does NOT include any free maintenance as do so many of the car dealers. Suppy and demand ?
