• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio and GPS interference

Questions

New member
When I have the FM Radio and GPS on while riding, the radio starts to fade in and out like it is losing the radio station signal. I turn the GPS off and the radio works great. I have had it checked out by my dealer and they moved some wires around. It is still doing the same thing. I do not have a CB installed (yet). Do I need to adjust the VOX or is that only for CB communications?

Some gps will broad cast an fm signal through your speakers, check to see if gps audio is on internal or external mode.

Does it do that on all FM channels or only some (low channels vs high)?

Is this the BRP stock FM and stock GPS?

It sounds to me as if your GPS has a built in FM modulator that is to say a mini-FM broadcast station.

Check the set up menus of the GPS and if there is a section where you can specify a frequency then you will need to disable it.

Exactly what I was thinking Roger.
