Rear Seat Bag

I purchased the rear seat bag from BRP this weekend. So far I love it, made well, fits in trunk perfectly and was on sale for 105 (not too far off the cost of a decent aftermarket one that would not fit as well as this one).
I do have one question though, it has a pad on the inside bottom. It is a felt line pocket thing that velcroes to the bottom. It almost seems like a laptop pouch or something. For the life of us we can't seem to figure out what it's for. Anyone have an idea?

it is a laptop pouch. I took mine out since portable computers are smaller these days. Well Mine is.

Also there is a strap on the bootom side that makes the rear seat bag a back pack of sorts. It is handy when unloading for the night and your hands are full.

I have used one of these for many miles. Don't think they are waterproof though. In my experience nothing is waterproof at 70MPH. I solve the problem with large zip lock bags. Don't leave home without them. Available at Wal Mart and other fine establishments.

Thanks, I guess we were right. I love the bag so far. As for the laptop part, well that will stay in the frunk. And the zips, I know nothing is waterproof at speeds. Been atving for years lol. Zip locks will be used on long trips.
