• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Review the TOM TOM RIDER

I cannot imagine riding without a GPS now - I often just go in a direction and keep riding to end up somewhere random I've never been--- then just push the 'home' button and go home. I always have it set up to avoid highways, interstates, etc..... as I like the back roads!

:agree: That is about all I use mine for. I have a Garmin GPS V (talk about showing my age!) but I like everything, except having to load 19K of maps at a time (with serial port). Oh well it does the job, in Black and White and without little voices telling me what to do.

I got the Zumo 550 because of the ratings, it's water proof and the XM radio feature. I also get the traffic reports that are linked into the detour function as well as weather forecasting.

I have a mount on my KLR 650 and I download Topographical maps when going offroad. I am not sure if the TT Rider has that capability.

I use it in conjuction with the J&M CB radio and J&M headset so I get stereo reception with the XM radio.

I do have a TT One that I won in a contest and using it doesn't seem as intuitive as the Garmin.

If you like the TT then more power to you and I think it's great we have choices for our own tastes.
