• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rider Backrest: Adjustment Screw will not turn - am I missing something?

Hello Members,

Need some help as a new RTL owner. I searched the forums and the web and cannot find an answer to this.

I found the adjustment screw in the back of the Rider Backrest.
Try as I might, I cannot turn the screw.
Am I missing something? Is there a separate set screw holding the adjustment screw in place?
Or is there a defect and I just need to get another headrest?

Appreciate any help and thanks in advance.

There's no separate set screw for the driver's back.

Page 35 and 36 of the Operator's Guide has information on adjusting the backrest.
One of the things I noticed while checking the guide is that it says you have to lean the backrest forward before turning the adjusting screw.

Thanks.
I will re-check a bit later today.

Mine is double nutted on the back side and sealed with Loctite. I may have put that on myself, don't remember.
I did install the operator backrest. The F3-S did not come with one. The backrest is aftermarket.

It is not a set screw, just a short, adjusting screw that changes how far the backrest can lean back before it hits the stop.
