• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rough Idle has been diagnosed

I got a call from my dealer that they have ordered a new O2 sensor after consulting with BRP. It began running very rough and stalling when cold so I had it in for them to check it out. It was also popping back in the muffler so it ws running rich very rich. I figured it might be the sensor since it ran better when warm.

I also reported that my battery keeps going dead if not on trickle charger and gave them the copy of the info that Lamont posted recently about the radio drawing power while off. I had already checked to see and it was drawing .06 amps instead of the .003 amps max so they also checked with BRP and they now have a new radio on the way. It may take a while for the parts (dealers up this way do not carry any parts for spyders) so it has to come from Canada. In the mean while I will pick it up so I can get my weekly riding fix, lol.

Usually Popping though the muffler is caused by running too lean, But it's good that they got the problem solved.:thumbup:
 
I always thought popping in the muffler was from a rich condition (unburned fuel) and popping in the carb (the old days) was from lean. Back firing in fuel injected engines often comes from a bad O2 senser. Have I got this screwed up in my old age? lol..
