Seats again?

Why doesn't Can-Am put a great seat on these machines and satisfy the customer?
Seems many are forced to change and bite the bullet for the correct comfort.
If we spend 16k or 30k shouldn't it be comfortable without the need to change?

The answer--which most of us don't like--they (BRP) make more money that way--unless you go to an aftermarket seat--and most do.

Or even better than all that stuff you put on top of your seat for someone to steel

Gel, Foam, even give you the knife to cut the foam with... and when finished it is unable to be
seen but you will know it's there.....

Probably for the same reason, Harley, Yamaha, Honda, Triumph, Norton, Kawasaki, need I go on do not.

Bottom-line, what's great for one will never be great for all.

Got to say my stock RS seat is about the most comfortable I've had on any motorbike. It's the usual issue where what's comfortable for one person is uncomfortable for another. Funny enough I was reading some reviews of a Isuzu Ute the other day and 3 authors where raving how comfortable the seats were in comparison to other Utes they have had while 2 were moaning that they had to replace the seats as they were so uncomfortable.

This subject is kind of like who makes the best coffee?
I changed the stock RT seat for a comfort one because of the set back. I like both. Some seats feel terrible at first, then 60 miles down the road they feel great or go the other way.

My stock seat on the 2011 is too squishy, but on a loaner 15 I had it was much firmer. Looks like BRP has been trying to make some changes anyway...

I love my OEM seat and have no intention of shopping for another one. I've seen lots of posts where others like their OEM seat also. Every butt and pair of legs are different, so the factory seat might not suit everyone. It's been that way with every motorcycle (5) I have ever owned. The factory can't possibly please everyone, they can only do the best they can.
