smells like burnt rubber ???

on our first longer weekend trips we stopped on the highway and it smelled like "burnt-rubber" coming from the left side ...??
we where full loaded and driving really fast for an hour or so - could`nt find anything .. all running perfect (3000 mls now)
any ideas ????

Check for oil leaks around the crankcase breather.

I get the same smell usually from either the "runk" or the side compartments. It's not all the time, but some. I've attributed it to some hard riding. I dunno.

Rubber Smell

Look at the drive belt and mahe sure it is not trying to track into the right side shoulder of the pulley.
