• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder Bags Bags and more Bags (Luggage) info !

Ok thanks to Icestorm1998... I started on a bit of a research trek to find the elusive $60 soft side cargo bag liners for the can-am. after quizzing Icestorm about part numbers (unfortunately he did not keep receipt and Can-Am doesn't put their part number on the tags inside their bag) and confirming they were indeed Can-Am mfg bags. I checked the dealer to no luck... its not listed on ANY brochures or the canam website :gaah:

called the 800 number who after a bit of research found a part number. I waited until they came in today to post ... YES they are mfg by Can AM. they are part of a SOFT luggage line that they make but looks like don't advertise (sigh).

Enough already ... ;) drum roll please - sharing the information and hoping for good Carma :2excited:

the Part Numbers are for the soft bags (alternative to the semi regid bags but at over half off the price :yes:):

  • 219400170 = front cargo bag ($85)
  • 219400171 = rear cargo bag (I think $50)
  • 219400172 = side cargo bag ($60)

The front cargo bag is supposedly shaped like a gym bag (rectangle and not shaped to fit exact like the hard bag).

The rear cargo bag is a half bag like the semi rigid. not sure if it comes with a shelf or the inside mirror ect. (we ordered the semi rigid for the back)

The side bags are just perfect for the sides. they are soft heavy duty canvas type black bags with carry handles on top, until I can get a picture up.. (stealing the pic from icestorm (hope you don't mind):

for the Frunk bag instead as you will see the different options in my other thread (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21938), we went with a 20" duffel from Target. its totally soft but other then keep a little space on top for the trunk lid to close it was the best fit overall to take up 100% of the frunk space. 12"x12"X20"

Its on sale currently for $35 = http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/187-1254916-7939915?asin=B0039IK5PU&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B0039IK5PU&CPNG=&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B0039IK5PU&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001

the 2nd choice was the Wal Mart Jeep backpack but removing the bottom plastic handle and pull up handle to get max space seemed a bit too much work.

the 3rd choice the rolling 20" duffel from Jeep (part of 3 piece kit from WalMart) $59 was OK but it wasn't the max dimensions of the frunk. its 1 or 2" narrower then the frunk.

clueless;
Thanks for the part #'s. Just ordered from my dealer, the warehouse had them on hand and should be here in 2 days. The frunk bag was $85. Didn't order that one because I normally keep my leathers, rain suit and a towel in there. Thanks again

Do the side cargo bags fill the available space? I bought the rigid side cases and for some reason they are sized a good bit smaller than the RT side cases.

yes they fill the space and are soft so you can stuff them into the side with the battery sticking out because they will form around the battery sticking out.
