• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SpyderPops Rocks!

I recently installed SpyderPops' “Missing Air Dam”, “Missing Heat Shield” & "AIR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" on my wife's '08 GS and have been amazed with how well this setup works. I even rode it in 90 degree heat while wearing shorts (I don't generally wear shorts while riding, but wanted to get a better idea of the heat coming from the engine) and was unable to feel any more heat from the right side than I did from the left. I expected an improvement, but not this much!

Temp gauge ran between 3 and 5 bars, depending on driving conditions. Tended to hit the 5 bars while stopped. I saw nothing that causes me any concern.

Harvey (REPOPS), great job & thanks!

:2thumbs:

I have the same SpyderPops products and I love them. Harvey even installed them for me at SiTS last year.

What about saddle heat, has it helped with that?

I wear full pants, I never have much of a gripe with the right side blower, but the saddle heat gets crazy after a while.

Didn't notice any heat coming from the saddle, but wasn't concentrating on heat from there either. I rarely ride this Spyder (mine is an RT), so don't know if saddle heat is an issue.

If you start where the instructions say & then align the edge of the tape along the edge of the cone, this will provide a 1//2" overlap. When you wipe the activator in the cone and then start to peel the red plastic strip off the adhesive, it sticks immediately & permanently, so be very careful as you go, only peeling an inch or so at a time as youe work around the cone. Then drill and attach the rivets. That piece is essential to block the radiator heat from coming through the 2" gap between the outer cover and the one your knees are against while riding. Keep working with it until you get it. You'll love the result!

thanks ill try it agin i got the air dme on no proulbm, but could never grt that peace they gave me to match up to the funnel thing on the bike.will try agin.:D:joke:

As you wrap it around the cone during the test fit, you'll see how it comes together. Be patient with it.
