There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Statefarm Insurance

I have State Farm and they have insured my spyder since June 2008 -- rates are reasonable --just paid my premium for 6 months $195.

I personally think that everyone needs to periodically get quotes from your insurance company's competitors.

After using SF for over 20 years for auto and home, I obtained quotes two years ago from several top-tier competitors. I was shocked at how much cheaper the alternatives were.

My home-owners insurance dropped from $1700/year to $800... same coverage. My SUV coverage dropped from $900 to $500... same coverage. My two bikes dropped from $600 to $250... again, same coverage.

That's my $0.02. .

I have had SF for 40 years or so. My one claim with them was handled quickly and good for me. I have about every discount they offer. They insured my RS/GS at a good rate. The Rt is more. My agent said, it is because the RT are so new. I will wait and see.

I have had my Spyder with SF since new in April of 2010; I pay about 600 per year. I live in the downtown part of a fairly large city and it makes all of my rates higher. I have not shopped rates for over 20 years, Afteer reading this it is time to shop around and compare.

Thanks for the advice.

My Spyder is insured with State Farm. It's currently classified as a motorcycle. I checked rates with many other companies and SF was the cheapest. What I am after them to do is re-examine their coverage options so that I can get towing added. They supposedly don't offer at present. I've had SF for all my insurance needs for decades. They have consistly provided me with the coverage I wanted/needed at the lowest cost. All would be perfect if i could get towing added.

That John Deer you have there is made by BRP.

Had SF for 40 years, house and vehicles. They told me they don't insure :spyder2:s. Had two minor claims on homeowners, agent handled them very well. Got a letter from SF shortly after the last claim that they were raising my deductible and putting us on the excessive claims list. Came off the list without any further claims. Never had a claim on auto until this past July. Wife was hit broadside. Cops didn't ticket anyone because they couldn't assign fault. SF handled the claim for repairs and minor injury to wife. Without warning, they assigned her 3 insurance points. Then we got a letter that SF was going to raise homeowners 10% above what the state allowed for insurance. Letter further stated that if we didn't accept they would drop us. Talked to the agent, reason for letter was SF was trying to recover losses for past hurricanes. Since we are in a hurricane zone, we got the letter. No one west of I95 got the letter. 4 years ago SF raised rates 10% on those east of I95 because of storms. We switched to Farm Bureau, got better coverage for homeowners/auto for much less. Have :spyder2: insured with Foremost. Will be checking with Farm Bureau very soon.

Hey Beaver! You did write $68.00 for the year. Or is that a typo? Did you mean $68.00 a month maybe? If that is correct I'd say you have found yourself a gold nugget or something extraordinary!! DO NOT TALK TO YOUR AGENT ABOUT THIS. He will probably find his mistake!! :lecturef_smilie:

I got the same story when I first bought my :spyder2: from Allstate, so I went to Geico. Checked with another Allstate agent a few month later when transferring my home and auto policy's to a new agent and he checked and dropped my rates about $100 over Geico. I would check with another agent.

Throw one more on the pile. Policy Description: 2010 CAN AM SPYDER RT SPRT TRG Policy Type: Motorcycle
This is in Truth or Consequences, NM.

State Farm = State Fraud = Snake Farm.

An insurance company sued more than any other.

Used to hire English majors at universities to review medical claims and payout was based on proper grammar!

Also some other crazy things they've done...wouldn't deal with them if you paid me...

But, that's just me and what I've seen...

Curious! I've insured through State Farm for a number of years and currently have two Spyders insured through my S.F. agent - an RT-S and an RT-AC.

I had my Spyder and quad insured with State Farm. After the theft of my quad, I tried to make a claim. Had ALL receipts for the accessories, which totaled over 5K, but all thy would give me was just under the replacement cost for a base quad. Dumped them for all of my other toys, house and cabin and went with Progressive, which you can add the level of coverage for accessories that you want.
Just my 02 cents, but the price for State Farm was good, but thier coverage SUX.:gaah::gaah::gaah:

That's the issue. They've been caught numerous times not fulfilling contracts...plus, they have gotten in more trouble than any other insurance company for cheating healthcare providers...they have a very bad rep. in the medical community, and for good reason. I know all too many orthos, physiatrists, PTs, and chiros who have been taken advantage of. Their string of lawsuits is prove positive of this...

We have State Farm for the cars, house, and life insurance. In April of 09 when I bought the Spyder, they would not insure the Spyder under our vehicle policy, but would insure it on it's own policy.

The quote I got was stupid expensive compared to other insurers. I'm now with Progressive and pay only $350 a year. State Farm wanted near $1000. I live outside of Charlotte, NC.
