• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sticking clutch plates maybe?

A new wrinkle this morning:
Started up the RT and let it idle down to 1400 rpm.
Punched the "R" button and put it into reverse (SE5 tranny)
The bike lurched rearward and stalled!

It was still in reverse, so I shut it down and re-started it. Everything now seems okay...

Sticking clutch plates?? I guess I've just never had this issue pop up before. :dontknow:

Hmmmmmmmm............ That's a head-scratcher Bob

:dontknow: In close to 47,ooo miles on 2 RTs, Teddy's never experienced that one either:dontknow:

Hope its something simple, like how's your oil level :hun:

:shocked:Let us know if it happens again or you find out the cause ;)

:pray:BTW: Teddy wants to know if he'll get to actually meet Tink in person at SITA???

Thanks guys!
Oil level... I haven't checked recently; it's being changed this coming Tuesday; I might be about 300 miles past the scheduled interval... :opps:
Dave,
We just can't get up to SITA this year. :gaah: This little problem of work being in the way just has me locked down tight!

Oh come on,,, Leave Friday Night and be there Saturday. Go home on Sunday. I've owned an insurance agency too. Just forward the phone for a day or to. You still owe me a cold beverage!!!!!!!

That would work if I had employees who could pick up the slack. :gaah: It's just me and the Missus though...
Hey! How far South do you head on the trip home?
We're in Sullivan County; about 100 miles South of Albany...

Oh, we will pass over you at about 20,000 feet!

Is it normal for an RT to idle that high? My RS with SE5 Idles 900 to 1000 rpms.

Sounds like you may be only running on one cylinder, or have some other issue (bad tach?). Spec for idle for the Spyder is 1400 +/- 50 rpm. Time to see the dealer.

It always read that at idle. I get great gas mileage, it runs great, and the plugs are burning a perfect color. Thanks for the nformation.
