Is there any "Bubble Head" (Submarine Sailors nickname) Spyder riders out there from any country? Did 20yrs USN Submarine Service.

Nope, but I worked in the reactor plant test support group at a shipyard on fast attack boats for 3 years... I know what every inch of them looks like... even behind all the piping where we usually had to work LOL. My hat is off to those who operated them.

Had a lot of u guys ride on the Sculpin in early 70s. Retired RMCS(SS) in 90.

I toured a few subs. One newer boomer. The guy that lives in the house my wife grew up in is a sub vet. Thank you for your service.

You guys on the tenders saved our Bacon more then once with emergent repairs! Also made it easier to do our jobs and meet our underway times. Thanks Much!!

Drove a sub (USS Trepang SSN 674) for four years in the early 1970's. One of those years we put on more miles than any other ship in the Navy. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

I worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 30 years assisting with the overhaul, refueling and defueling of our Navy's submarines. After a few hours on the deck plates every day, I was grateful to be able to go home.
My hat is off to the crews that call that hull "home" for months on end!!!

My other half did 8.5 years he served on the Vallejo [ssbn 658] and the Ashville [ssn758] as a quartermaster. he really likes his harley but has really been studing my RTS:spyder2:

Made Patrols on the USS Simon Bolivar (SSBN 641) out of Rota , Spain , Charleston, SC and Kings Bay, GA. Did two tours as a Navigation Instructor at FBMSTC, Charleston, SC. Retired April 1987, ETCS (SS) Navigation

Correct. '68-70' was on the Simon Lake in Holy Loch.

Did 13 years in the submarine force,13 patrols all told in USS Woodrow Wilson(qual boat) Brought the USS Lewis and Clark out of the yards in 86 and USS Mariano G. Vallejo. The winning of the cold war ended my career so to speak, but I'd do it again tomorrow.

I was on a destroyer tender from 75-79 . Was in the Mediterranean and replaced the zinc brackets. Was given a tour. Was amazed by the space.USS SHENANDOAHhyea:

I made 7 On the Wilson in 83 and transferred back to fast attacks. I'm out of Moncks Corner. You do much riding around here?
