• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Pagani in McDonalds is my favorite.

from article:
Supercars In Some Weird Situations, here are some pictures of supercars that you would never expect to see. The owners must have so much that they don't care what happens to their exotic cars.

10 pictures and in the gallery

they are just cars..!! :hun:.....:roflblack::roflblack:

Agree, they need to get out of the garage. I drive my GT to work on a regular basis and its been spotted in the HEB parking lot picking up dinner stuff on the way home a number of times. Its a car, just have to be a bit more careful with it.

Which one gets more "Thumbs-Up"; the GT ,or your :spyder2:?

Really? on a Spyder forum?

No contest, the GT garners more attention, cameras and questions. The Spyder gets lots of attention too but with the GT I have to plan my fuel stops early in the AM unless I want to be stuck there for 30 minutes or more. I have watched 2 pretty major wrecks happen while others were staring at the GT instead of where they were going. Fortunatly, neither of them have involved me. All I could do was watch and KNOW what was coming.

The funniest comment I ever got was a guy asked me why I would put Ford badges on my lambo.....I was speechless.

I had to ask... :D
I like the GTs; they harken back to the days when Ford was biting Ferrari on the butt on raceday! :2thumbs:

There is a reason the GT has no cup holders and no ash tray. There is a 'no eating' policy in my car.

Bob, is that a pic of THE #6 that now sits in the Henry Ford Museum? The one that took first in 1965 at LeMans? Or a very nice replica?

Mine is midnight blue with silver racing stripes:

:D AWESOME ride!! :2thumbs:
That's the one from the Museum...
That ain't no replica! :D

Never seen #6 outside the museum. Great pic and nice to see they do take it places. In spite of its 8 figure value. Had mine and a Blue 66 Mk2 parked side by side at a show once, neat to see how close they were in proportion but different in size. Its almost like they put it on a copy machine and hit enlarge.....I tried to get in and drive a replica Mk2 once, I BARELY got in but no way I could have driven, just too small.

I believe that shot was one taken for publicity...
:agree: They really did a marvelous job of recreating a very significant part of racing history for the street!
(And I DON'T mean that as a backhanded slap to your GT; it'd also stand up pretty darn well on it's own!)

Don't take it as a slap at all. It IS a recreation of a very important piece of Ford history. Hence why it was done for Ford's 100th birthday celebration. All the history that goes with the car is a big part of enjoying owning it and talking about it with other car nuts. Still amazed that it ever made it past show circuit prototype into a production model, at a time when Ford was loosing billions no less. It really was the pace car for an entire company. Changed the attitude of employees and owners alike when they needed it most.

There was only one TV commercial ever done for the car, and it only aired once. During the 2005 Superbowl.
