I was a firearms Safety Instructor for over 20 years.

nojoke Don't you remember that accident at the gun range (I think it was in Arizona...), when the Dad took his daughter along, and decided to let her try out a fully-automatic Uzi.
The recoil spun the gun in her hands, and she ended up shooting herself in the head... :yikes:

she shot the dad or instructor, whoever it was, but yes i remember

She shot the instructor, but she was not familiar with guns and went to try out a full auto uzi, a gun hard to hold for an adult, she would have been better with an AR or larger crew served weapon that has recoil controlled by the base.

that was a group of adults making poor choices for kids, this is obviously a girl who has received a ton of training right from the start and she knows safety

I think there was someone right behind her throughout the course.

When adults shoot at these matches there is someone there behind and moving with the shooter. Usually it's the person with the timer and other are observing for safety as well!
