• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Morning Thread

I dunno 'bout all you lot on your 'first cup'?!? It's Wednesday evening here; it's after 8 pm; and cos the Child Bride can't handle full strength coffee after 6 pm-ish or she doesn't sleep (while it makes no difference to me at all if it's full strength or my tenth coffee for the afternoon) that means I'm now restricted to de-caff or stoppage!!

Mind you, it's really only a courtesy, cos she can't resist the smell of 'real coffee', so if I make myself a full strength coffee, she just hasta have one too, but then she can't sleep and I'll pay for that! :cautious: So if it's after 6 pm, it's de-caff for all here in this household until the morrow, be it coffee or tea! 🙁

And to those who can't tell the difference between full strength or de-caff only by the aroma, just be aware that she's an award winning Chef, so she can (and does!) tell by smell what someone four houses down is cooking for tea, what herbs & spices they've used, and when they've over-cooked whatever by just a minute or two... so telling the difference between full strength & de-caff coffee is too easy for her - and after more than 45 years of married life, you'd better believe that I've tested this ability numerous times (just cos I can, sometimes 😋) and she's invariably spot on, every time!!

It's a good thing she's such a wonderful Lady who looks after me sooo well. And I do get fed very well too! 😊

So just quit yer bitc*** about those bloody 'first coffee's' can't y'all?! I've had my 'last' proper coffee for about the next 10 hours, and I'm already getting twitchy!

It is all in your point of view. Since you are only slightly west of the International Date Line, you have already had your first cup of the day and you could post about it when the other side of the world is in lala land.

Normally, I only drink two cups of coffee in the morning. The rest of the day I drink tea, either hot tea such as oolong tea, or some tea that I make myself from certain plants or trees. the herbal teas have much more effect on health and inflammation conditions than the coffee and don't keep you awake or affect blood pressure. I have olive trees, fig trees, loquat trees, and many others growing in my yard, which can be made into tea, either made with the fresh green leaves, or dehydrated for use later.
