I know the wife and I laughed so hard when we first saw it (then again and again and again...). As others have stated a comedic genius. Many, many hilarious skits and he could keep a straigh face whereas I would be like Harvey Korman p...ing myself laughing.
McHale's Navy is one of my favourite series.

Loved watching Tim on the Burnett show, loved watching the Show about Nothing, still do, cracks me up. What happened to all the 'good comedians', the good writers?
