• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I read the manual for the 2014 rss ,no were dose it say how much to torque the filter caps screws when replacing the filter what should they be ?

They are only m6 bolts. Just make them snug and your good to go. No need to gorilla tighten them.

Looks like..!!

your fixin to do your own work on your roadster. Check on ebay, amazon etc for a shop manual. I have a Green manual and can get this information and all the how to's..still doesn't tell you about the filter cap bolts but there is a chart for torques by bolt size and type. As stated best is hand tight, too tight and they will strip or you will snap them. Also hard to remove next time....

Noticed you have an SE5. Make sure you don't mix the cap screws up, or it will cause you a BIG headache.
Tip: To make sure everything goes back where it belongs. Mark one filter set (fingernail polish or the like)...cap, screws, and and case with someting that will not rub off. Then you know wher home is. fwiw

My 2013 service manual calls for 97 inch pounds for the filter caps. I suspect 2014 to be the same, providing it uses the same M6x30 socket head screws.
