• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer spare tire requirements? What is the law?

Are you required to have a spare in the trailer?

I don't know of anywhere that has such a requirement.... but I carry one just to be safe!

I've wondered if 'trailer speed limits' apply to pulling a small trailer behind the Spyder?

Many don't know that most states have lower speed limits (not posted) when pulling a trailer... at least behind a car........

No more limits to that than carrying one in your car. It is a good idea, though, but remember that if you carry a spare, you also need a jack and a lug wrench.

As fqr as trailer speed limits, I suspect that where there are not weight or axle limits specified, they do apply...but I'll bet most LEOs don't know that.

Just to note, if you have "bling wheels" or mags, make sure you have a lug wrench that will FIT to remove the lug nuts! :banghead:

It would have been cool if the trailer and the front wheels on my RT were the same, then I could see real utility in carrying a spare. But once you put spare, jack, lug wrench, well you certainly are going to use up a lot of space, and carry a lot of dead weight (dead right up to the time u need the spare that is).

Stop-N-Go tire plug kit and a small compressor are a good alternative...and fit all three tire sizes.
