• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

trunk spring on seat?

has anybody ever tried a trunk spring on there seat latch? seems like it would work the same way.:dontknow: or do they normally pop up when released?

My seat lifts just enough to keep it unlatched. I lift it up the rest of the way and the gas shock holds it up until I close it.

Yup, I did. Search on eBay: there's a guy who sells nice custom latch springs for the Spyder, the same one works for the trunk or the seat. A few bucks and a five minute install later and everything just pops open easy as can be.

seat

my seat doesn't pop up at all, it kind of stays closed when released, like the trunk lid without a spring. the vinyl seems to stick to the painted parts. maybe its a g s thing.:dontknow:i might put a spring on it anyway.it would be pretty cool to turn the key and have the seat raise to full up position.

RS/GS or RT models?? I think that the frunklatches are different... My seat stays put until I grab it by the snout and "encourage" compliance... :D

I did it on mine. Both the trunk and seat with the same size spring and only cost $3.00 for both
