• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

turn signals in mirrors

I'm installing turn signals in my RT mirrors. I will never ever EVER remove a mirror from its backing again.I could not find a stick pad strong enough to hold it back in place. I'm hoping this gorilla glue does the trick. it not its :banghead: time.

I used a few dabs of silicone to hold mine in place....

I thought you just popped the mirror assembly off and drilled a tiny hole for the wire and glued the led strip on then made your connections.

How so? I did mine in about an hours time with nary a problem.

If you removed the mirror from the back plate ,installed the signals and remounted the mirror
to the back plate that fast. I'm coming to see you if I ever want it done again. It has been a :banghead: for me.

I've had my mirrors off and on so many times it has become second nature to remove them and take them apart. But I did learn the hard way the very first time. AARGH!!!

That's what I did, too. Easy and no fear of breakage. But other systems, such as Muth, require taking the mirrors apart. I personally wouldn't touch that approach.

I had Muth mirrors on my Gold Wing and they are really great but no way I'd try putting them on the RT. I gladly settled for LED strips that work just as well.

Trust me that's just what I'm going to do next time

I have seen that the mirror is 2 parts, mirror assembly and turn signal assembly, that unsnap from each other. There is a hole in back of the section that holds the mirror run a tie wrap up through it pull the wire down and voila tap it in where you want. This is for the led strip version cheapest easiest and quickest way to do it.
