• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Uh-Oh...

:agree: That rear trunk must be giving him:cus:. Sounds like something that would happen to me.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

HHMMMM

I am a little concerned, I have belonged to this forum since July of last year, and this is the first time I have witnessed a day without Bob posting something.
I hope it is just the good news of a new bike, a great day of riding, or a busy day at the office! Maybe his fingers are tired from 50 post yesterday.

One of two things are going on -

either Bob D. is in his garage, surrounded by pieces, trying to figure out how to put things together so the trunk will work, properly -

or

he inadvertently locked himself in the trunk! :yikes:

Actually; I just got home about an hour ago...
I had an entire day spent in a continuing education seminar for my licensing requirements.
But: I got some REALLY good advice from Doc Riverside, and I'll grab a long screwdriver, and tackle this issue tomorrow!

Oh! I rolled over 10,000 miles on the bike today also!

Fix

Back panel tab not seated. Raised panel puts tension on latch. Trunk won't open.
Take a standard 2" putty knife, the flexible kind. Slip in the center of the gap above the latch and below the trunk lid. Insert until you can press the black inner panel with the hole in it for the back panel tab to drop into. Remove putty knife. Open trunk.
Questions? Call. Number below. Joe

Thanks, Guys!

I have TWO great approaches to try...
(Four: if the guys mentioning chainsaws and dynamite were serious! :D)
I'll start on it this evening, and let you know what happens next. :2thumbs:

Glad all is OK with you! Miss your wit and quick responses when you are not around.
Hope you get it figured out without destroying anything.

Yesterday was my day to, "Get Smarter"...
But I think that most of it leaked out of my right ear overnight! :D
Once a year; one of the Companies that I write a lot of business with; hosts this Seminar. We pack eight credit hours in, and they feed us like Romans! :2thumbs:

You really need to Ryde more Bob!

 This has been an adventure...
Last evening; I had a chance to start "limbering up", and I started trying some of the "Houdini Tricks", that were sent to me... (Thanks, Guys!!)
NOTHING worked! :banghead:

After getting back into the forum for a little while, I was ready to head back home...
As I walked by the bike, I gave it a "What the Hell" tug on the latch...
"CLICK" :yikes:
It opened up as if nothing had happened!
Tonight; I'll pull the panel, and re-install it again... Taking EXTRA care with that tab!
