• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Upgrading front shocks; what's the difference between Elka and BajaRon??

I am thinking about upgrading the front shocks on my '22 RTL. Lamonster sells the Elka shocks for $950, while Baja Ron shocks are listed at $1,200 a set. What I am wondering is, what is the difference between the two (besides the $250 price difference).

Basically, they are the same, the Elka's damping adjustment is harder to get to if you want to make a change. I had a full set front and back on my 2012, LOVE them, had no problems with them! My 2025 is going to get a set of Ron's on the front this Spring, I believe they are going to work just as good if not better, and if I have a problem, Ron is in the US and just a call away! They are a great bunch of people to work with, I've been to their shop and I trust them!

I sent a DM to Ron asking a very similar question and he took the time to respond with quite a bit of detail. Maybe he'll see your question and reply here as well.

My local suspension shop (Trackside suspension/engineering) quit selling/recommending Elka suspension years ago for quality issues. JRI manufactured Baja Ron suspension will likely be of much higher quality. Plus, you'll get complete stateside serviceability. That said, I stuck with Wilbers but tariffs make them more expensive :(
