• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Very New Novice Spyder RT Limited Rider

Well, I did go by the ASK shop where I bought the bike and had them to look up the service record and the Stabilizer Bar Link Rods Inspect and the Lower Ball Joint Replacement had not been done. So parts have been ordered and will get that fixed as soon as they come in. Thanks for all the good info from you folks; maybe this fix will help me out with my ryding.

If you want a nice ride close to Columbus try our escorted ride out of Zanesville on August 10th. We are expecting a few Spyders this year.
Teresa will be there with our New Spyder RT this year also. She always ride in the back to keep track of everything. She broke both bones in her left leg just above the ankle a few months ago, can not ride her bike, but absolutely loves the Spyder. She likes the Spyder so much she is going to sell her custom painted C90.

You will like the ride, not fast and a great time.

Thanks Rick. I looked it up on line and it looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully Pam will have her ball joints replaced by then and will feel comfortable attempting such a long drive (she is getting out for rides every day that weather permits).

If she isn't up to it, I'll probably drive her spyder with Pam as a passenger (which means I'll need to practice on it a bit between now and then, as it handles a lot different than my tip over). I really hope she is up to driving herself by then, as I really want to try some of those windy roads on my new C50T.

Thanks a ton for letting us know about this ride. We are looking forward to meeting some great people.

Stop over Friday Night

Since you are close, stop over Friday night. The car show across the street at Denny's Diner starts at about 5:30 PM, lot of cars. We will have a party in the parking lot with Pizza and Snacks plus Gifts starting at 8PM.
Don't worry about riding skills for this ride. I control the pace and it is slow. Too large of a group for fast riding and we have all kinds of bikes and skill levels. It is mostly to see the roads, have fun and meet a lot of people. That is the only way to keep it safe with a large group. We tell people to come a day or two early or stay a few days after to do some serious riding on the curves.

Hope to see you there.
Rick

I doubt I will be able to make it Friday night. I usually work too late to make that feasible. If the weather report stays the same, I will leave out from Columbus early Saturday morning to arrive in Time for the ride.

Pam is not sure she is coming due to the 30% chance of rain. I'm trying to talk her into risking it. She has a full rain suit, so I'll be the one getting soaked if it rains. LOL.

Welcome to Spyderland, Pam and Rich. My wife and I are a just few years older than you and we got our first Spyder this past March. Give it some time and you will become very comfortable riding the Spyder. It takes practice, like so many other things, and the confidence will come with experience. Glad to have you as new members of the Spyder-Ryders community!
