• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

between the wrong tire pressure and the linkage from the auto leveling system the bike was all over the place, now with the tires adjusted to 20 front and 30 rear, and the linkage hooked back up,the bike is running great, i took it out for about a 40 mile ride and it did great. i still feel some heat on my right foot but nothing that it was on the 13 rt, but you have to remember i do have bad feet due to diabetes so they are going to feel it worse than the rest of you. i am just glad i do still have feelings in them. OK see no BELLY ACHING TODAY

Jon, couldn't of happened to a nicer or more deserving guy:clap::yikes::yes:

There you go...!!

like I said once you hooked up the linkage and set your pressure you would be good to go. Still wonder why it was disconnected, thought that problem was taken care of and dealers had it on a to watch for list...:dontknow:

On the rear tire it is going to wear out faster at 30 psi. Almost everyone has only gotten 6,000 miles at that setting. The tires incease about 2 lb in the fronts and 4 in the rear.

shifting

just one more question, does anyone with a 14 have any problems getting the bike into reverse, seems like i have to go back and forth from neutral to first gear a couple of times b4 it will engage in reverse. what is your thoughts other than letting the bike warm up.

It kind of seems that you've got to be "On the Button" a bit firmer, before hitting the shifter...
It catches me all of the time too!

Oh... The "Squirellies" are gone, and heat isn't an unbearable issue...

Great to hear you had a good ride for once
You will be ridding more now
But about the Belly aching
Mine still does, it's just too big since I retired:roflblack:
Don

Glad to hear that the problems have been fixed....I know that my 14 has been a real joy, and everything smoothed out a bit with the air pressure change....I imagine that things will smooth out even more as the miles build up.....enjoy, and ryde the heck out of her.:clap::clap::clap:

I'm new to my 2014 and a new Spyder rider. It took me a little time to figure it out as I was having the same issue you were.
Follow these steps in order and it solved my problem.

1. foot on brake
2.hold the reverse button down
3. Pull forefinger into R

Works well for me every time now.

Yup! The older bikes just didn't seem to be quite as picky about the button-pushing stuff... :D

John, like you, I'm sensitive to heat and when I ride with my feet propped up beside the grills, there's enough heat to bother me. I happen to have a roll of aluminum flashing...very thin stuff easily cut...and cut pieces which I painted black and used a few nylon ties to attach behind the grill. No more heat problems now!:D Will probably remove when it gets cold again.

Theres plenty of room behind the radiators over the wheel wells for the heat to escape. Its made no diff in my temp gauge.

The grill on the left pops right out just like on the older bikes, but the one on the right has a couple push pins holding it in and it also is made longer with a cover for the lower hole. Takes a little wriggling to get this grill out, but it will come out! At first I wasn't so sure! :D

Yes sir. The first day I took it home I was having a heck of a time getting into reverse. Took me two days to figure out that you need to hold the R button down before you push the - switch. As long as I do that it goes into reverse every time.
Congrats on finding and fixing the handling issue:thumbup:

for a change, to be honest i have had my computer and security cameras apart and trying to get everything back together. also i have not been feeling to hot so i have been taking my time doing everything and i am seeing a new doctor today to see what is going on with me
