• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a friend that wants me to help her change the oil on her 2013 RT. What size torx or Allen bits do I need? On my F3 I use a torx 45 on the left side and a 6 Allen on the right side. Would the 2013 RT be the same? Do the oil filter covers use a 5 allen? Thanks for any input.

Do a search on SL and youtube for 998 oil change and there are probably a number of videos that should give you the answers.

Her 2013 has the V Twin in it. If hers is an SE5 you will need 2 filters and you will change every thing from the left side and yes the filter Allen heads are 5mm. I am sorry I don't remember the size wrenches you need for the plugs underneath, but someone else will. Many will tell you to change to some much more expensive plugs but don't bother. Value Accessories have plugs that you can remove with a socket wrench for very little money and they work very well. I have them. Buy one of each. You can get your filters from BajaRon also a sponsor here. His kits are very high quality and much cheaper then the dealer. He also has oil.
