There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What type of Battery does my F3S have?

I have a noco genius 1 battery maintainer, and I'm trying to figure out what type of battery I have in my 22 F3S. The manual says 12vdc. Duh! I'm pretty sure it's an AGM Type. The noco has 6v, 12v, AGM, and lithium selections. I'm using the AGM Mode. Hope that's right.

In my new 22F3S the battery is not Yuasa its made in China, its supposed to be a 300 CCA but only tests at 260 CCA after a charge with a smart charger. On any cold start I get a VSS flag. After the charge it showed 12.8 v but dropped quickly to 12.4v with the key on, but no VSS flag until the next cold start. On the initial test it showed 12.6v before I charged it.

I will have the dealer replace it when I take the Spyder in for its first service but I am not sure if I will get a Yuasa replacement or the Chineese one which I will not accept.;)

To save you a headache .... call and ask them what battery they plan to sell you >>>>> JMHO ....Mike

Just had to change the battery in wife's '15 F3S. Got it used couple years ago, looks like it had the OEM Yuasa in it. Not home, up at vacation place but got a US made Deka AGM replacement.

Seeing this thread got me to thinking about the batteries in my Spyders. I just replaced my four-year-old OEM Yuasa battery in my 2019 F3S at the end of July. I replaced it with a Drag Specialties/Yuasa AGM of OEM size. I picked up my new/out of crate 2022 S2S 3 weeks ago. Attaching my battery tender cable, I noticed it was indeed, a Chinese equivalent. Also, it may have shipped with the S2S (uninstalled) from the factory. Sooooo, I took a little time today and switched them around. I like the idea of having a fresher Drag/Yuasa battery in the new ride :)

I got my Spyder back from its first service and the battery has been replaced under warranty. Unfortunately the service guy didn't see me before it was replaced like I asked so the replacement is the same as the first one. The original battery tested 250 CCA at home and the new one tested 350 CCA when I got home so at least inline with what I have seen on the Yuasa batteries of the same size.

The battery is an HTX24HL-FA made in China. I will see how this one hangs in there and if it needs to be replaced I will get to choose what I want.

The invoice showed that the battery tested bad and the fault codes for the VSS had been cleared. No more VSS flag on start up.

That was the OEM I had in my 2022 S2S.
